DAVIDSON – Davidson College will host two talks by renowned Civil Rights activist Angela Davis on Feb. 12 at the Alvarez College Union, Smith 900 Room.

At 5 p.m. Davis will conduct a podium discussion titled “Black Panthers and African American GIs in West Germany in the 1960s and 1970s.”

The talk refers to a display, which will be on view all month in the Alvarez College Union Brown Atrium, and to Davis’s own experiences as a graduate student in Germany in the mid-1960s.

At 8 p.m. Davis will deliver Davidson’s annual Wearn Lecture on the topic, “Political Activism and Protest from the 1960s to the Age of Obama” in Duke Family Performance Hall.
