STATESVILLE - Bradley Hicks has been named EnergyUnited’s
Manager of Energy Planning and Portfolio Management.
Hicks, a licensed professional engineer, joined the cooperative this month and will planning, organizing, developing and implementation of programs in the area of wholesale power supply and regulatory needs of the company, along with procurement of both traditional and renewable energy portfolios.
He is a former principal transmission and distribution engineer at the
National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Arlington, VA.
“I look forward to fine-tuning the system and devoting my time and resources to special projects here at EnergyUnited,” he said. “EnergyUnited has a great reputation within the NRECA and the electric cooperative community and I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to join an organization that is as technologically advanced and yet as customer friendly as EnergyUnited.”
A graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where he earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and received his Masters of Business Administration from
Aspen University in Denver, Colorado. Hicks has spent 12 years working with electric cooperatives and is a
licensed master electrician, mechanical contractor and general contractor in South Carolina.
EnergyUnited serves more than 120,000 electricity
customers in 19 North Carolina counties, stretching from Virginia to northern Mecklenburg County and encompassing the fast-growing I-40, I-77, and I-85 corridors.
