Ready or not, the Democratic National Convention is coming. Beginning Sept. 3, the event, which will host an estimated 35,000 visitors, will have an impact beyond the major venues – Time Warner Arena and Bank of America Stadium – and uptown Charlotte.

Security personnel from around the region as well as restaurants, hotels and airports are gearing to welcome visitors from all 50 states and five U.S. territories.
