A new program is available in Lincoln County to help unemployed women who need to strengthen basic job readiness skills.
The nonprofit offers a two-week educational program designed to work with women in a structured learning environment.
During the two weeks, participants will practice interview situations, prepare resumes, learn the basics of Microsoft Office and learn about personal financial management.
The first class begins Sept. 10 at the Mentaur Learning Center in Denver, 3130 N.C. 16 N.
The program is free to eligible participants.
“I believe that participants will have the support they need not only to find a job, but also to feel good enough about themselves to keep a job and make good choices for themselves and their families,” Executive Director Amy Gordon said.
Participants must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
