James Lee Blanton
MOORESVILLE – James Lee “Country” Blanton, 80, of Mooresville, died May 26, 2012, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House.
Born Oct. 10, 1931, in South Hill, Va., he was a son of the late William Lee and Mary Jones Blanton.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara Blanton; sons, Jim and wife, Kim of Denver, Bobby and wife, Donice of Mooresville, and Ronnie and wife, Orpah of Charlotte; siblings, Dorothy, Seartha, Shirley and Mary; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen and brothers Edward and Dick.
Services were held Sunday, June 3, at Lakeside Fellowship ARP Church in Mooresville.

George Alexander Robinson Jr.
IRON STATION – George Alexander Robinson Jr., 85, of 5982 N.C. 27 E., Iron Station died June 1, 2012, at Stanley Total Living Center.
Born Sept. 28, 1926, he was a son of the late George and Ida Wallace Robinson.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willia Dean Smith Robinson; three sisters Beaulah Reid, Marjorie Smith and Irene Summey.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Bynum Fisher Robinson; one son, Bill Robinson and wife, Freida of Iron Station; one daughter, Deborah Heath and husband, Mark of Martinsville Va.; one sister, Lillie Mae Rhyne of Gastonia; five grandchildren: Brad Heath of Iron Station, Matt Heath of Destin Fla., Ben Heath of Martinsville Va., Anna Friesenhahn and husband, Mason, of Alexis and Will Robinson of Iron Station; one great-grandchild, Aiden Friesenhahn of Alexis; one stepson, Jeff Fisher of Iron Station, three stepdaughters, Eloise Adams of Charlotte, Janette Childers of Iron Station; Miriam Fisher of Iron Station; four step grand-children, Sherri Ireland of Taylorsville, Chris Childers of Texas, Eugene Childers of Taylorsville and Alan Fisher of Conover.
Services were held Monday, June 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Stanley with the Rev. Dan King officiating.
Burial followed in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Warlick Funeral Home, Lincolnton, was in charge.

Vernon Charles Bryant
DENVER – Vernon Charles Bryant, 60, of Denver, formerly of Finleyville, Pa., died at his home on May 23, 2012, from cancer.
He was the son of the late Vernon Ward Bryant and Guisepina (Josephine) Marie Merlino.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; daughter, Kristina Wilcox; stepchildren Patrick Cook and Amanda Cook; granddaughter, Angelina Wilcox; and step grandchildren, Camryn Greenberg and Carter Cook.
Other survivors include his brothers, Michael Bryant and wife, Marsha, and John Bryant and wife, Linda.
Services were held, May 26 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Denver.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Lincoln County 107 N. Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Ethel Holloway Law Webb
LAKE WYLIE, S.C. – Ethel Holloway Law Webb, 72, died May 10, 2012, after a bout with cancer.
She was born Jan. 28, 1940, to the late Francis Lafayette Holloway Sr.
Her son, Reed, lives in Denver.
Including her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth G. Law and brother, Frank Holloway Jr.
Including her son, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Webb, children, William, Eric and Annette, three step-children, and 20 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., June 8, at River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
