It’s that time of year again for thunderstorms and fireworks, both of which cause great distress for many of our pets.
If not confined, many will flee to escape the noise and end up lost, in a shelter or worse. If your pet is bothered by the noise, please take precautions to keep it calm and safe from harm by confining it in a quiet place, preferably in the home or garage.
Playing a radio or TV would help drown out some of the outside noise.
It’s also a good idea to make sure your pet is wearing a collar with identification tags in the event it does flee and get lost, so hopefully someone will be nice enough to call.
A pet lost and alone is distressing, not only to them, but to the owners who love them.
