LINCOLNTON – The Arts Council of Lincoln County is inviting the public to The Art of Storytelling, A Celebration of African American History on Saturday, April 9,  from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Historic Ramsour Mill, 301 Jeb Seagle Drive.



The event promises storytelling and music on the cabin porch, and backcountry life skills on the grounds of historic Ramsour Mill. Kitty Wilson-Evans, a nationally recognized storyteller from Historical Brattonsville, is the featured performer.



Other performers are Deacon Jones, Obakunle Akinlana and Common Knowledge



The free event is sponsored by the arts council and a N.C. Arts Council Grassroots Grant. The Lincoln County Historical Association also is support ing the event. For more information, call Shelly Johnston at 704-732-9044.
