DENVER – Eugene Omax Wallace, 82, of Denver, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Brian Center, Mooresville.
Born Sept. 17, 1928, in Gaston County, Mr. Wallace was a son of the late Ansley and Blanche Wallace. He was a veteran of the Korean War and charter member of Lakeshore Presbyterian Church. He retired as a foreman from Union Carbide.
His wife, Carolyn Cherry Wallace, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Michael Wallace, and wife, Iris, of Denver; daughters Marilyn Payne and husband, Edward, of Denver, and Vicki Barton and husband, Tim, of Salt Lake City, Utah; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Monday, April 18, at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church. Samuel S. James, Funeral Service Licensee, of Huntersville, was in charge.
