Denver Weekly’s sports coverage will take you far beyond the fields of play. We won’t just tell you which team won or how many big plays an athlete has made; we’ll go indepth while explaining WHO the players are.

We won’t just tell you what happened on game day; we’ll tell you WHY the players at East Lincoln and North Lincoln high schools and Lincoln Charter are so ready to perform when the lights go on.

Our staff, which includes Sports Editor Chris Hunt, is excited to expand its award-winning coverage into Denver, where we’ll highlight athletes’ achievements
with thoroughly reported feature stories. The rest of our department, which includes Managing Editor for Sports C. Jemal Horton and sports writers Aaron Garcia and Denny Seitz, will help document the local sports seasons with in-depth analysis and breaking news.

East Lincoln, North Lincoln and Lincoln Charter always will be our priority, so expect sports information about each school in every issue. We take pride in covering high school athletes as if they’re professional or major college stars.
