Please share the rest of the story - who built the house, what year did you move here, how did the kids do with school, are you still in same house, how has the Lake & shoreline changed since you moved here? Don't leave us hanging...

Its vital now that they ensure their classrooms are more interesting to students than their laptops. The natural additions to the classrooms would be <a href="http://classroom-technology.us/interactive-whiteboards/" / rel="nofollow"> Interactive Whiteboards</a>, <a href="http://classroom-technology.us/document-cameras/" / rel="nofollow"> Document Cameras</a> & <a href="http://classroom-technology.us/audience-response-systems/" / rel="nofollow"> Audience responders</a>.

It can drive the classroom towards a whole new level of learning.

I haven't seen The Tree of Life, though I have enjoyed Malick's other films. I don't exactly like being referred to as part of the art house crowd - how insulting - but clearly you are writing to the XMen crowd and the Hangover 2 crowd. They will love your review.
Look up the meaning of "to beg the question." Go easy on the cliches - i.e., "Pulling teeth."
Also, "...ARE not enough mind-altering drugs...." And, "...to help MAKE “The Tree of Life” MAKE a lick of sense."
Take a couple of writing courses. Good luck in your future endeavors - in whatever field you choose.

Overall a nice article. At least this is closer to the truth than "GOSSIP@Norman".
First and foremost, God bless Haley's family. They are in my thoughts & prayers.
Maybe you could have added a few more lines and made one correction. After talking with several EYEWITNESSES to the accident (police were not eyewitnesses), the driver of the Honda did in fact slow down. Lets use some facts here... The speed was ESTIMATED/ "ASSUMED at 50mph." (& we all know what it means to "ass u me"). The SPEED LIMIT is 55mph. Neither of the two drivers ahead of the Honda had time to slow down before they slammed on their breaks to avoid hitting the 1st car in line who decided to suddenly stop. This person realized at the last moment she could not make her left turn. Those drivers behind her were skidding as well. Who's fault was this really?? I'D SAY DRIVER #1. She should have kept going. Simple physics & common sense will tell you there is less reaction time for the 3rd & 4th cars. Especially when a small car such as a Honda Civic is travelling UP HILL behind a larger SUV. Do you really think the driver of the Honda could see that car #1 & #2 had slammed on their brakes? Think about it. Having had someone slam on breaks in front of me, myself having to slam on brakes, and coming within an inch of colliding, have been rear ended by a third car (not a teenager) because she had less reaction time. Funny thing, neither one of us was speeding or tailgating. Amazingly, the third car was a school bus in which the driver could see well past me. Wow! How did that happen???? How about use your common sense before throwing words into an article. THINK. You're making an innocent child into something he's not. What if Travis was your child? Can you think like that? Really? His only mistake was violating his provisional license (limited to1 passenger) by giving in to a friend that had approached him AFTER SCHOOL asking for a ride. After initially saying "no" he was persuaded to give the friend & Haley, a ride "just right down the road", as the friend put it. They intentionally missed their bus. What would you do? You may not know this, but the ONLY reason Travis was charged with "misdemeanor death by vehicle" was because of the Provisional License violation. When you violate one traffic law and a death is involved with your vehicle, the second charge is mandated by the state. How about print something in defense of the "other" victim.

I have watched this family suffer through this as well as my daughters. And I to am glad a paper finally stepped up when News@norman let this family down. We ask the question why everyday to only hear it just got out of hand. Only one thing got out of hand that night and it was taken from Ginny's.( as well as the rest of the family and friends that love Richard. Thank you for allowing Ginny to express herself about the real Richard and his love for his family. I didnt know alot about Richard ,but I have learned quickly how much he is loved and missed....Everyday!

Finally a true journalist! I would like to thank Courtney Price for taking the time to contact my sister and tell the truth about what happened that night. It means the world to Ginny and our entire family to know that there are still some good people in the world who actually care about people they dont even know and telling their story. This was a beautifully written piece by an excellent reporter. Thank you again Courtney, from everyone that knew and still loves Richard.
